Amazon Sr. Marketing Manager, Events, Amazon Ads in London, United Kingdom

Description

At Amazon we continually look for opportunities to invent on behalf of our customers, helping them to find and discover virtually anything they want to buy online. To this end, we have developed products that leverage Amazon’s strength as a world-class eCommerce website and have integrated ads into the shopping experience from first discovery to purchase. Amazon Ads operates at the intersection of ecommerce and advertising, offering a rich array of digital ads solutions with the goal of helping our customers find and discover anything they want to buy. We help advertisers reach Amazon customers on Amazon owned and operated sites and on other high-quality sites across the web. We start with the customer and work backwards in everything we do, including ads. If you’re interested in joining a rapidly growing team working to build a unique and world-class scaled marketing program with a relentless focus on the customer, you’ve come to the right place.

Our key objective is to drive adoption and growth across a range of self-service, cost-per-click advertising products. This will enable small and medium-sized business (SMB) advertisers to engage with customers in meaningful ways. Our team is responsible for making it simple for third-party (3P) and first-party (1P) selling partners to advertise their products. This increased visibility of their offerings benefits both the selling partners and Amazon customers, who can discover a wider selection of products – a win-win!

We are seeking a creative and results-driven Senior Business Ads Marketing Events leader to lead SMB Events across our international MPs (21+). In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end Events strategy definition to drive awareness and consideration of Amazon Ads to SMBs. You will work closely with stakeholders worldwide and locally to achieve key business objectives. As part of this position, you will develop deep insights into local advertisers and partner with various stakeholders. This will enable you to define strategic priorities and a roadmap to accelerate Amazon Ads consideration and adoption. The role is based in London but will require continuous interaction with our global teams across Asia, Europe, and North America.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong passion for data and customer insights, with a strong background on B2B event management. They will leverage such skills to develop innovative strategies that achieve key business goals via a customer-first mindset, seeking to understand pain points, gaps, and identify opportunities. You will proactively identify and mitigate potential risks, demonstrating sound judgment in escalating issues when appropriate. To be successful, you'll need to be an excellent communicator who can earn the trust of key stakeholders across multiple teams. You should be comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, working autonomously, and handling multiple tasks simultaneously. The ability to prioritize effectively will be crucial, as you contribute to ambitious growth plans. If you are organized, analytical, and eager to own and drive the end-to-end International SMB events strategy, this is an excellent opportunity for you.
