The Amazon Business team is dedicated to developing solutions that make procurement easy for businesses. Managed Spend Strategists are an integral component to the team, having a pivotal role in qualifying and pursuing Managed Spend deals for our most important customers. To do so, you will work with many AB functions including Customer Advisors, Product, Legal, Operations, Finance, Sourcing teams. You will manage a pipeline of the most complex opportunities, facilitate cross functional reviews to make pursue/not pursue decisions (deal desk ownership). From there you will support developing compelling responses to those opportunities we decide to pursue and securing AB EU Leadership approval in Luxembourg. You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on progress, including oral and written presentations to AB’s EU senior leadership in Luxembourg, and for developing scalable/repeatable deal management processes.
The ideal candidate possesses demonstrated pipeline management, proposal management and project management experience necessary to effectively support a high growth business. They will be able to solve business and technical requirements for our customer and partners, working with internal teams to quickly build the best proposal. Successful candidates will possess demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the capacity to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. They also must have industry background that enables them to develop win themes and technical discriminators for inclusion into proposals and a contracts background that enables them to easily interact with legal team.
This role can be located in the following AB locations: London (UK), Munich (Germany), Paris (France), Milan (Italy) or Madrid (Spain) or Luxembourg.
Please note for this role you will be required to come to the office five days a week.
Key job responsibilities
•Lead the workflows to qualify (own the deal desk) and pursue managed spend Opportunities
• Create and execute a proposal plan while working with key internal stakeholders/subject matter experts (e.g. Customer Advisor, Product, Legal, Finance, sourcing teams, etc.) and secure leadership approval
• Be a thought leader with preparing/developing deal responses, win themes, technical discriminators, pricing, etc.
• Work with customers and internal stakeholders across several EU countries
• Working backwards from the voice of the customer, optimize existing processes and develop new scalable/repeatable mechanisms
• Educate Customer Advisors on best practices to identify large-scale opportunities and navigate proposal management processes to produce winning proposals
• Build a library of approved and updated proposal content
Basic Qualifications
Experience positioning and selling innovative solutions to new and existing customers and market segments
Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of procurement and source to pay processes and solutions or equivalent experience
Experience identifying trends and needs to improve an already closed large-scale technology deal
Experience in B2B or enterprise sales with a focus on hunting new business
