Job Title: Senior Marketing Manager (FFRR, Warner Records)

A little bit about our team:

Warner Records is home to some of the most ground-breaking and exciting artists in the world, including Dua Lipa, Griff, The Blessed Madonna, Luude, Pa Salieu, Jordan Adetunji and many more. We are an ambitious close knit team who are passionate about music, developing talent and breaking artists.

Your role:

DEVELOPING THE FFRR BRAND

Own the dance lane as a key relationship holder in the UK for our evolving roster. Devise creative, attention grabbing marketing strategies to capture both audience and media’s attention.

  • Represent Warner Records at key events on the Dance community’s calendar

  • Continue to develop our Dance offering to ensure we’re providing partners with best in class services across every element of their campaigns.

  • Lead FFRR communications to the wider business, lead on fostering all partner relationships & new business opportunities alongside the rest of your FFRR team.

We would like you to lead the development of a FFRR label strategy with the FFRR team.

Our ambition:

  • FFRR competes with heritage dance labels as a cultural hub for dance music & artists

  • FFRR eventually stands as it’s own label along side WR & Parlophone in the label group

MANAGING A TEAM & ROSTER

You will be responsible for your own roster as well as overseeing the success of the wider teams roster.

You will manage a team with two direct reports.

Responsible for:

  • Overseeing all FFRR marketing campaigns

  • Developing, guiding and training your team to be marketing leaders of the future.

DEVELOPING ARTIST PROPOSITIONS & PLANNING

  • Lead and play a vital role in driving the success of the artist.

  • Liaise with A&R, creative, artists and their management teams to ensure the artist’s vision can be effectively communicated. This should then be applied to marketing initiatives, guiding them towards strategies that resonate both domestically and (if relevant) internationally.

  • Work closely with the artist & management to develop your artist's creative proposition. You are responsible for delivering this vision and ensuring the consistent implementation of this vision across all aspects of a campaign.

  • Work with the insights/ audience team to identify artist audiences to ensure campaigns are speaking to the right people.

  • Create & drive innovative marketing-plans for WR rep while maintaining an international mindset for campaign elements, assets and activations. Work closely with the international team / market leads to develop this.

  • Work hand in hand with the international Marketing team to develop high potentials and deliver success for artists in specific markets. Collaborate with local marketing teams and promotional partners to support tailoring marketing campaigns to specific regions, ensuring alignment with our marketing initiatives and strategy.

  • Collaborate with international marketing teams to ensure consistency and alignment of international marketing initiatives, leveraging domestic successes to propel international campaigns.

  • Monitor and spot regional / global traction on repertoire to amplify trends by creative marketing approaches, aiming to build global success and drive MUR.

  • Stay on top of global market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour to optimise marketing strategies and capitalise on emerging opportunities.

  • Push innovation and creativity in marketing approaches to maintain a competitive edge in the music industry landscape, in order to nurture our artists' domestic relevance.

  • Utilise data-driven insights to optimise marketing initiatives and measure campaign performance.

DAY TO DAY FUNCTIONS

  • Monitor and track campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to key stakeholders, highlighting potential for growth and adaptation.

  • Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively

  • Act as the central point of artist campaigns / projects. You should be the main point of contact for the team, artist & manager so it is very important you nurture those relationships. It is your job to oversee the team and ensure they are delivering the expected results that line up with identified KPIs at the start of campaigns.

  • Coordinate with sales teams to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and sales objectives, strategizing for domestic sales targets and partner with international teams (if relevant) for international expansion opportunities.

  • Lead the creation of all marketing materials, including campaign creative assets, promotional assets, official video content, supporting video content, ad assets etc

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry contacts to maximise exposure for releases.

  • Coordinate promotional events, including album launches, listening parties, and exclusive fan experiences.

About you:

  • Proven track record delivering successful artist marketing campaigns, with a particular emphasis on Dance genres.

  • Passionate and knowledgeable about Dance and Electronic music and culture.

  • Strong connection with Dance music specifically but a broad understanding of all genres of music and the culture surrounding them, musical trends and a passion for music marketing.

  • Strong awareness of both the online and offline Dance music ecosystem. Including media touchpoints across streaming / social / editorial / club / live / MCN and curator spaces.

  • Strong understanding of digital, social and streaming trends, especially the TikTok landscape.

  • Strong data proficiency and ability to interpret data to make strategic recommendations.

  • Experience working with commercial teams with a particular focus on digital retail and the intersection between audience, marketing and streaming.

  • Excellent experience delivering bespoke and thoughtful artist & label creative.

  • Dynamic and outcome oriented, with a keen eye for detail and ability to deliver on ideas and objectives.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.

  • A hardworking and innovative thinker who is able to multitask across multiple projects and work under pressure within a team environment.

We’d love it if you also had:

  • 3+ years marketing experience in a label or management company environment.

  • A strong network of connections in the Dance music scene as well as wider industry community.
