Core responsibilities

  • Orchestrate insights-led global earned media strategy supporting LEGO® Retail commercial and marketing objectives to ignite earned media conversations that reinforce channel awareness and value proposition

  • Originate global earnable campaigns for a slate of key exclusive product launches & shopper occasions, including PR and Influencer engagement driving end-to-end campaign planning and activation

  • Be the voice of retail earned media/PR within LEGO® Retail, Branded Channels and global marketing teams, ensuring earned channel prioritization, inclusion and investment in integrated commercial plans

  • Enable regional/local market teams to adapt & activate global retail campaigns across relevant channels (e.g. PR, Influencers, social media, deep fans, events, etc.)

  • Oversee campaign evaluation to ensure consistency and executional excellence, measuring, sharing, and actioning relevant learnings

  • Brief and manage agencies to support earned media campaign needs

  • Leverage resources of the global communications team to provide communication support to SVP of LEGO® Retail and team

  • Architect employee engagement communications strategies that connect global retail leadership with its corporate and store staff across the globe

The Senior Manager, Global Retail Communications sits in our global Markets & Channels Communications team in Corporate Brand Communications.

This exciting opportunity manages earned campaigns across LEGO® Retail globally – including 200+ LEGO Stores and shop.LEGO.com – and enables nearly 1,000 additional branded retail channels managed through partners! This role delivers earnable solutions that translate global audience and channel objectives to strong commercial impact in local markets. Core focus is on building relevance, awareness and desire among shoppers for our retail channels and products that translates to commercial conversion.

An important element of the role is to sit on the global LEGO® Retail Marketing Leadership Team, headed up by the VP of global retail marketing, ensuring great collaboration and integration with other marketing channels. In addition, this role supports employee engagement communications of up to 5000 staff across our LEGO® stores.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Extensive experience in a PR/communications role or similar, ideally with a premium consumer brand or global retailer

  • Shown success in supporting executives, including comms supporting employee engagement

  • In depth understanding of earned media strategy, media landscape, influencer engagement, and earned channel interdependencies with other parts of the marketing mix, particularly digital media

  • Solid commercial understanding, preferably from a Retail environment, or related experience creating shopper and retail marketing solutions for brands

  • Examples of successful issues/crisis management

  • Demonstrated success in influence, great instinct and decision making to create successful integrated comms programs

  • Strong presentation skills and a concise, precise communicator

  • Confident project management, planning and organizational skills, delivering multiple priorities simultaneously at scale, with speed

  • Proven collaborator excelling in relationship building, partner management and teamwork
