Amazon Senior Engagement Manager, UKI Engagement Management Team in London, United Kingdom

Description

As a Senior Engagement Manager, you will manage internal AWS, external partner, and customer teams. You will drive engagements and focus on AWS solutions to help customers and partners remove constraints and accelerate their journey to AWS. In this role, you will plan, organize, and manage all phases of a project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery. This includes developing and managing project governance plans, project schedules, team goals, project milestones, budgets and defining success criteria.

You will guide individuals, teams or multiple groups to analyze project goals, create plans to achieve those goals, and then guiding AWS team members, customer stakeholders/SMEs, and potentially other third parties to achieve those goals while understanding the customer environment and addressing any limitations to execution.

You will interface with various customers and internal AWS stakeholders, which consists of senior leadership teams (C-level execs, SVP/VP, Directors) and project-level resources. You will influence, negotiate, resolve conflicts and achieve results through others who are not direct reports.

Basic Qualifications

  • Multiple years of Project/Program Management experience supervising and delivering enterprise-level IT engagements in IT Professional Services or consulting organization supporting Fortune 500 customers.

  • Experience leading other project managers to deliver a program with multiple and concurrent projects.

  • Experience leading multiple Waterfall or Agile teams (e.g. Scrum Masters, Product Owners) concurrently and/or at scale.

  • Active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2).

  • BS level technical degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of the value proposition of the public cloud and experience delivering cloud engagements (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

  • AWS experience and certification(s).

  • MS/MBA level technical degree or equivalent experience.
