The Network & Acquiring Solutions team (NAS) is the heart of the American Express Enterprise, powering billions of transactions through the global payments processing network that we develop and manage. NAS is unique within the Enterprise. We work across almost every American Express business unit as well as external partners, providers, and key industry stakeholders. We are known to be intellectually curious and problem solvers as we tackle the most imperative initiatives facing the payments industry today, such as securing online transactions and enabling faster, more convenient ways to pay.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Build a robust understanding of Payment Network with particular focus on Clearing, Pricing and Settlement (CP&S) processes.

  • Lead and own the delivery of CP&S capabilities and initiatives.

  • Manage work allocation of scrum teams by translating features into prioritized user stories, along with tight coordination with Product Owners and Senior Product Owners.

  • Collaborate with multiple teams on the targeted outcomes and ideas, and then deliver upon those outcomes.

  • Support leadership in developing a platform strategy, in the sizing of development efforts, and PI planning.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Understanding of payment industry.

  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, experienced working in teams and influencing others without authority, leveraging insights and data to earn the trust and confidence across a wide range of partners throughout the organization.

  • Adaptability and flexibility when initiatives need to deviate from original plans or shift direction based upon changing needs and priorities.

  • Quick learner and driven to learn new functionality.

  • Flexibility in supporting various time zones, as this role supports global initiatives

  • High intellectual curiosity, with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with agile and iterative software development methodologies would be an advantage.
