The Role

Kyndryl is investing in expanding its consulting and professional services capability. As part of this, they are looking to recruit Customer Technology Advisors (CTA) in all technology practices.

The CTA is a Consulting based sales role, but with a strong foundation in a technology specialisation. They will use this technology-specific expertise to generate signings, and support other sales roles in an account. They will typically work on validated opportunities, developing technical or solution conversations, demos and presentations for the customer, delivering proof of concepts and establishing Kyndryl’s credibility and eminence in their field.

The role has a competitive package and incentive package.

Who you are

Experienced and innovative, you have a strong background in developing client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor, and signing business in your particular specialisation. You are both a sales professional, but also have a deep technical credibility.

Customer Success

o Acts and becomes a customers’ trusted advisor within their specialty. Works within a practice but also responsible for opening doors for adjacent areas, when applicable, to provide a complete Kyndryl customer solution,

o Thrives in a team environment of highly motivated peers,

o Maintains and develops relationships with key alliance partners and ecosystems; creates referenceable customers,

o Leads the solution customer engagement as a solution expert, providing technical guidance and collaborating closely with the technical solution manager,

o Supports the close of sale with the Customer Partner and Consult Partner, contributing to the sales management process when applicable,

o Has the eminence to potentially deliver billable work and ensure delivery follow through to create customer satisfaction.

Commercial Success

o Assists the Customer Partner and Consult Partner to identify, develop and close deals through technical, solution and sales expertise,

o Defines a unique value proposition for their respective area of expertise.

o When applicable, is responsible for looking at the solution from a cross practice perspective to bring full value to the customer,

o Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to generate a winning response and optimise the technical and commercial solution,

o Responsible for utilising the full breath of Kyndryl’s value propositions to develop profitable deals. Works with the pricing / commercial teams to ensure suggested solutions are profitable,

o Supports in developing/repackaging solution capabilities aligned to deal characteristics and needs in the targeted account,

o Ensures customer satisfaction and acts with integrity,

o Externally recognised as an expert in their solution area.

Required Skills and Experience

•Deep domain knowledge of Services offerings and technical solutions in a practice

•Demonstrated experience translating distinctive technical knowledge into actionable customer insights and solutions

•Prior consultative selling experience

•Externally recognized as an expert in the technology and/or solutioning areas, including technical certifications supporting subdomain focus area(s) including: Application Data and AI; Cloud; Core Enterprise and zCloud; Digital Workplace; Network and Edge; Security and Resiliency

Preferred Skills and Experience

•Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree

•5 years of experience (minimum) selling technical services for multi-industry customers
