Euromoney Institutional Investor Risk and Compliance Analyst in London, United Kingdom

This is a permanent position to provide critical support to the Risk & Compliance function in Euromoney's Financial and Professional Services (FPS) division.

The Risk & Compliance Analyst will support in daily tasks that are vital to ensuring that the division meets set risk appetites, complies with necessary regulations, policies and procedures, and reports on all necessary areas of risk.

The position will report to and support the Head of Risk and Compliance in driving the risk agenda and embedding a consummate risk culture and awareness across the division.

Key accountabilities:

  • Gathering information and KPIs used to support the Division’s risk reporting

  • Support in ensuring that the policies and procedures delivered by the Group and the Division are communicated and understood by all FPS colleagues

  • Support in building and maintaining a strong risk culture within the Division at colleague level

  • Provide guidance and support throughout the Division on basic risk and compliance queries, escalating more complex issues

  • Support in identifying key risks and emerging risks arising from the business units through collaborative discussions

  • Support in the production of monthly reports on the direction of risk within the Division and Pillars

  • Review the Divisional Business Continuity cloud and Disaster Recovery arrangements

  • Monitor new policies and procedures and ensure that they are adhered to across the Division

  • Work with colleagues to promote and embed a risk culture from junior to senior levels of the Division

  • Maintain a good awareness of industry practices, regulatory changes and risk knowledge

  • Support with the management of sanctions screenings for new and renewal business across the Division

  • Support with data management and regulatory requirements, including monitoring for incidents and data breaches

  • Support in the continuous improvement of the Risk & Compliance function within FPS, leveraging best practice across all pillars and functions

  • Where required, respond to and own requests from the Head of Risk & Compliance

  • Monitor and maintain the Gifts and Entertainment register for the Division

  • Monitor and maintain the Events Risk Assessment register for the Division

  • Monitor and manage requests through the Risk & Compliance inbox, escalating where appropriate

  • Continuously develop a sound knowledge of FPS pillar’s policies, procedures, products, services and systems

Experience:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a similar industry

  • Experience in reading, understanding and communicating risk and compliance policies

  • Experience in managing risk registers

  • Good understanding of risk frameworks and presentations

  • Good experience building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with key colleagues

  • Good experience with sanctions

  • Proven professional ethics and integrity

    Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of a variety of risk practices and processes and the ability to communicate broadly

  • Basic understanding of subscription, events and data business models for information services

  • A continuous improvement mind set

  • Sound judgement and ability to analyse complex information and data

  • Ability to manage IT systems and related projects

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, comfortable using PowerPoint and cloud-based storage solutions

  • Good communication and inter-personal skills
