Amazon Resources Manager, Business Operations, Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience (MSP-CX) in London, United Kingdom

This is a global, highly visible role, and key member of the Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging, Customer Experience (MSP CX) organization.

The Resouces Manager, Business Operations will be a results-oriented and resourceful individual who is capable of owning their key responsabilities and establishing themselves as a credible partner. This leader will work closely across multiple leadership teams such as the MSP Product team, ACES, RME, Operations, and our partners from Finance, HR, Legal, and recruiting to ensure we structure, prioritize, and track programs that execute on our vision. The candidate will shine in ambiguous situations, navigating between the details and big picture, and own our organization’s most visible documents including: annual operating plans (OP1/OP2), 3-year vision plans, and the supporting artifacts, including but not limited to Resource planning and Resource Management, Capacity Planning for General Availability (GA) technologies and Plan of Record (POR).

The ideal candidate influences successfully, thinks strategically, is a talented writer and a strong organizer, takes initiative, and operates effectively across many teams. The candidate possesses the ability to own projects, break them down into manageable pieces, manage functional specifications, and deliver them in a successful and timely manner.

Key job responsibilities

• Ensure resource (budget and headcount) adherence across MSP CX.

• Drive best practices in headcount planning and resource allocations.

• Work with operational stakeholders to drive execution to the plans.

• Identify potential risks and opportunities, and surface insights to management to improve the health of the business.

• Highlight misses and direct appropriate closure actions within MSP CX.

• Standardize and scale best practices and learnings across the organization.

• Managethe Capacity Planning Program roadmap across the MSP CX Organization that can proactively scale to customer demand in the coming years.

• Contribute to prepare and drive weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business updates and plans such as OP1/OP2, QBR, MBR, WBR, staff meetings, etc. in partnership with management.

• Support development and execution of Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs) and additional white papers needed for continuity of business operations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field

  • Proficient Excel user , able to manage complex calculation models based on large amount of data

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to succinctly and compellingly summarize key findings

  • Proven experience communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), or a technical field

  • Able to work independently to develop and execute strategies with minimal supervisión

  • Hands on experience leading complex and large-scale projects, ideally globally

  • Strong critical thinker

  • Exceptional people skills, with ability to calmly navigate rough waters and negotiate win-win solutions

  • Flexibility to travel up to 30%
