Team/Role Overview:

Citi’s Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) Reconciliation team is transforming and modernising how we reconcile front-to-back, to enable safe business growth which is systemically responsible. This newly formed division is embedded within the Treasury and Trade Solutions Operations organisation, to evolve best practices and principles in accounting and financial reconciliations. This is done in parallel to realising tangible risk reductions and providing measurable success to Executive Management.

On a day-to-day basis, this team manages automation and transformation, through the enablement of modern and agile platforms. The team is engaged across all functions from Operations, to Technology and Product/Sales. Strategically, this team champions enterprise-wide initiatives and bold ideas which will ensure that Treasury and Trade Solutions, and Citi, retains its competitive advantage within the market.

What you’ll do:

Key initiatives that this role will be engaged in are:

  • Citi’s Strategic Ledger Program to modernise the general ledger.

  • TTS Platform Modernisation Program to modernise the processing infrastructure.

  • Reconciliations Data Strategy to embed reconciliation foundations into how Citi’s data fabric is comprised, to facilitate seamless reconciliations from top to bottom.

  • Leadership of how TTS Accounting, Ledger and Close practices are aligned with the Balance Sheet and the corresponding reconciliation and substantiation.

  • Development of a 12–24-month Strategic Roadmap to realise the Target Operating Model for reconciliations in TTS.

  • Incorporation of AI/ML into the reconciliations environment, to act as a co-pilot in the resolution of breaks and data challenges.

What we’ll need from you:

  • Significant knowledge in Operations and/or Finance, specifically in reconciliations and accounting.

  • Previous experience within a financial reconciliations or accounting team would be preferred.

  • Demonstrated analytical ability and a drive to challenge the historical status quo; asks insightful questions, break analytical challenges into workable components and draws meaningful conclusions.

  • Proficient in developing strategic roadmaps, tied to actionable and measurable increments; management of cross-functional programs.

  • Advanced leadership skills - operates as a leader, with an understanding and appreciation for diverse backgrounds.
