Description
We are looking for an experienced Product Support Organization Lead Engineer to join Amazon Prime Air in lovely London.
Do you want to have the opportunity to grow your knowledge of drone, air traffic management systems, and automation technologies? You will be a key contributor to high drone service availability in the UK/EU region and thereby a critical part of driving a delightful customer experience. Additionally, you will help drive regional feedback back to the HQ teams for incorporation on further technology iterations.
*Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
Key job responsibilities
-Support in region technical issues surrounding the Prime Air developed Drone Systems as first point of contact.
-Prioritize and facilitate technology deployment to regional delivery sites.
-Provide feedback to HQ development engineering for continuous service improvement opportunities.
-Support regulatory site visits, audits, and product demonstrations.
A day in the life
The Product Support Lead Engineer will help launch and support our International Service Expansion. You will drive deployment of hardware and software functionality, investigate issues, and drive operational efficiency for our UK and European Service Operations teams. You will support regional on-call and enable rapid response to any events considered reportable. This role requires demonstrated troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to respond quickly to emergent findings.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent
Experience working in design, product (technical or operational) support, or field service
Experience with new product introduction/launch, and change introduction
Experience with project planning and prioritization of requests
Experience working on aerospace products / projects or in other regulated fields like healthcare or automotive
Experience with troubleshooting, trend analysis, and RCCA (root cause and corrective action)
Experience building and leading teams
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent
Experience with customer facing roles
Experience leading continuous improvement efforts and driving operational efficiency
Experience with quality systems
Experience with change management and technology deployment
Experience with design or redesign of integrated systems
Experience working with suppliers
Experience with manufacturing and supply chain logistics
Experience with repair stations and recertification
