Role Summary

The Marex Group has grown significantly via both acquisitions and organic growth. The Group Tax team is looking to recruit an Assistant Corporate Tax Manager to support across all aspects of the corporate tax function of the group with a primary focus on tax compliance and reporting.

Role Responsibilities

  • Working with our Big 4 worldwide tax compliance outsource provider to ensure timely submission of all corporate tax returns on a global basis. To prepare and co-ordinate the provision of high-quality data and technical analysis where required.

  • Preparation of quarterly current and deferred tax balance sheet substantiations.

  • Co-ordinate cash tax payment approvals and ensure accurate bookings in the general ledger.

  • Supporting the Head of Tax Compliance, Reporting, Transformation and Corporate Tax Manager to complete the monthly, interim and annual IFRS group consolidated tax calculations and disclosures.

  • Other ad-hoc task as required to support the Head of Tax Compliance, Reporting, Transformation and Corporate Tax Manager.

  • Assist with wider Finance team initiatives on an ad-hoc basis.

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CTA is preferable.

  • Post-qualification experience gained in the Financial Services sector an advantage or large/medium sized practice background.

  • Ability to work to organise workload to meet multiple internal and external deadlines, sometimes in high pressurised situations.

  • Strong communication skills are required, both written and verbal.

  • Experience of PeopleSoft or similar accounting systems would be an advantage.

  • Able to identify, discuss and agree process improvements to internal processes and procedures.
