About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeping Porter to join us at Jumeirah Carlton Tower. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Check the e-mail inboxes for important messages.

  • Check all the instruments in the department, all the PC consoles, Business Centre, Opera and all the stationary in the department as well.

  • Handle messages for in-house, expected and external guests.

  • Escalate any concerns of the guest satisfaction to the senior colleague on duty immediately.

  • Cross check all wakeup calls before leaving the shift.

  • Ensure that all HotSOS requests are responded to in a timely manner – once escalation occurs, ensuring that follow up is done immediately with department concerned.

  • Ensuring that all E-Butler messages are responded to within 60 seconds and forward to correct departments.

  • Handling all basic requests for Front Desk, Guest Relations or Concierge.

  • Forwarding calls to the Front Office Department only if necessary.

  • Ensure strict control is adhered to when receiving and returning keys and whilst possession.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Previous experience within a similar role.

  • Ability to communicate fluently and confidently in English, both written and verbal, to cater to diverse guest needs and preferences.

  • Proven track record in a guest-facing role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a 5-star hotel environment, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in guest relations.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve guest concerns or complaints promptly and effectively, always maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

  • Keen attention to detail in managing guest requests, reservations, and preferences to deliver memorable experiences and uphold the hotel's reputation for unparalleled service.

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and guest needs while maintaining composure and professionalism.
