About the Team

The Sr. Director of Sales - UK&I role is part of the EMEA Sales team at Nutanix, which is dedicated to driving revenue growth and establishing strong business relationships within the UK and Ireland markets. Situated in the London area, this team fosters a collaborative culture that emphasizes innovation, diversity, and strong results. The mission of the EMEA Sales team is to consistently exceed sales targets while building lasting partnerships with customers and stakeholders, particularly focusing on larger accounts and financial institutions.

You will report to the SVP of Sales - EMEA, who is known for his strong leadership skills and commitment to developing a high-performing sales organization. His leadership style encourages open communication and collaboration, providing team members with the support they need to excel. The role is hybrid, requiring a flexible work setup where the new hire is expected to spend time meeting with customers and partners, alongside hosting team meetings at the London office. While there are no specific requirements on the number of days in the office, regular in-office presence will be important for team collaboration.

The travel requirements for this role include approximately 30 to 40% domestic travel within the UK, as well as about 10% international travel. This travel will be essential for building and maintaining relationships with customers and partners, ensuring the team's success in meeting their sales objectives.

Your Role

  • Lead and manage a team of 4 sales managers, driving performance and achieving sales targets.

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth across the UK&I region.

  • Foster strong relationships with customers and partners through frequent meetings and engagement.

  • Conduct regular forecast calls with team members to assess performance and refine sales strategies.

  • Collaborate with supporting functions such as marketing and customer success to enhance sales efforts.

  • Act as a spokesperson for Nutanix in the region, enhancing brand visibility and reputation.

  • Focus on building a high-performance sales culture while mentoring and developing team talent.

  • Aim to consistently achieve double-digit growth in revenue during the first year in the role.

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 10 years of sales leadership experience in relevant industry.

  • Proven ability to drive high-performing sales organizations, focusing on new business.

  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies and linearity.

  • Experience managing a team of 25-30 sellers and a total organization of 100 people.

  • Demonstrated success in achieving double-digit revenue growth year over year.

  • Strong people leadership, results leadership, and thought leadership skills.

  • Good understanding of selling Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.

  • Familiarity with CRM and sales software tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, and Tableau.
