Job Description

Job Title: EMEA Project Management Lead

Job Summary

Manage the Capital Projects Team of an End- to -End Full Service Account.

Oversee total Project Delivery including Programme, Project and Principle Contracting Delivery across a diverse portfolio covering the Rest of World region i.e. EMEA (excl. Switzerland), Latin America and Canada

The successful candidate will be accountable ensuring the successful delivery of projects from Preparing Initial Business Case through to full Handover and Operations. A key component to success being close collaboration with Real Estate and operations teams.

The role will be to develop and roll out client strategies and manage a Capital Plan to support these goals.

The Capital Projects Lead will typically oversee a team of Program Managers as they locally procure Project Management Services deliver the Capital Plan.

The candidate would be expected to progress other non-project specific initiatives that are associated with the success of the wider account and is an escalation point for any Project Related issues as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following

  • Managing the Project Management Office team in the Rest of World region

  • Ensure Client and CBRE governance is followed

  • Manage client relationships at leadership level

  • Drive culture of accountability and continuous improvement, both within CBRE and beyond as required

  • Interface/alignment with other regional counterparts

  • Responsible for selecting and overall performance management delivery teams

  • Responsible for the overall management of the project process

  • Responsible for capital planning process – alignment with transaction management dates and events, cashflow, accruals and estimate production. Production of high-level estimates for budgeting perspective.

  • Responsible for stakeholder management of third parties, including IT, AV, Security and Workplace strategy teams.

  • Provide oversight and management accountability for the delivery of Project scope, schedule, and budget in accordance with Client guidelines

  • Develop annual resourcing strategy for planned projects and follow through with quarterly updates.

  • Maintain governance against process and procedures including CBRE Playbook at all times

  • Collect and report Performance Indicator information and agree status with Client

  • Interface and collaborate with internal Finance Partners to ensure Revenue and Profitability targets are accurately reported against and ultimately met

  • Interface with CBRE Real Estate, Workplace, Operations and Change Leads

  • Participate to wider leadership team initiatives.

  • Other ad hoc duties as required

  • The role involves EMEA travel

ESSENTIAL SKILLS include the following

  • Highly accountable – including for wider teams outside of CBRE.

  • Team performance management

  • Client-side programme and project management experience

  • Experience with involvement on complex corporate projects, with an occupier focus

  • Understanding of real estate service lines, including transaction management, project management and facilities management.

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Leadership capabilities with a focus on RISE values

  • Client relationship management skills

  • Ability to manage a large project pipeline and allocate accordingly

  • Ability to coordinate appropriately with various service lines, stakeholders and other CBRE team members.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Management of RoW PMO Team

  • Management and leadership of vendors inc. Architect, Engineers, Contractors etc… essential

  • Line Management of internal team resources

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in relevant subject

  • Previous experience of working within the real estate construction sector

  • Significant experience within project & programme management (min 10 years post graduate experience).

  • Corporate occupier experience

  • Previous experience of working within Global account

  • Service provider management

  • Experience from within a client organization; either as an employee or secondee.

  • International work experience in EMEA and/or beyond

Communication Skills

  • Ability to comprehend, analyse and interpret complex business documents

  • Ability to respond effectively to highly sensitive issues

  • Ability to write reports to Senior Stakeholders

  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, management and/or public groups

  • Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, management, and client groups to take desired action

FINANCIAL & COMMERCIAL ACUMEN

The successful candidate will require a practical working knowledge of the financial terms and principles that are associated with Corporate Occupier fit out projects. An ability to review and analyse complex financial/ business reports/ data and develop innovative solutions, as well as experience in conducting analysis/ due diligence in terms of contract negotiation
