Hayu offers a world of endless reality TV, with over 300 shows, over 10,000 episodes, to download and watch on the go – all ad-free. The Commercial Manager will support in executing Hayu’s direct to consumer platform expansion strategy, focussed on increasing the broad reach and distribution for Hayu’s suite of apps on international TV, OTT and SVOD platforms in order to drive subscription growth across the platform. The Commercial Director will work closely with and support the VP, Commercial, Hayu EMEA Networks & DTC to execute growth and expansion strategies in multiple markets, including but not limited to, UK, Ireland, Australia, South East Asia, Europe, and the Nordics.

 

  • Support in sourcing and prospecting for new partnership platform deals in the OTT, TV and SVOD space

  • Work with VP, Commercial, Hayu to find ways to enhance and broaden Hayu’s distribution in existing territories and expansion markets

  • Work closely with NBCU internal functions, legal, strategy and finance

  • Maintain and present partner, competitor and in-market analysis across platforms and industry publications

  • Building, developing, and maintaining relationships with existing partners and prospective new partners

  • Strong network and knowledge of key OTT platforms and app stores as well as MVPDs internationally

  • A deep understanding of the digital landscape, and SVOD businesses especially in building compelling ways to broaden distribution to reach the maximum possible audience

  • Develop and update key sales materials for multiple international markets, including pitch decks and support materials

  • Demonstrated interest, knowledge and passion for reality TV programmes and characters

  • A proactive, self-starting and independent person who is comfortable working as part of a passionate, fast paced team across multiple territories

  • The candidate will have a proven track record of commercial deal making in SVOD businesses and negotiating and executing contracts

  • A deep understanding of the digital television business and the evolving nature of television consumption habits

  • International/Multi-market experience and knowledge of key Hayu Markets

  • A team player comfortable working in a fast-paced digital environment that sits within a huge corporation

  • Strong written communication skills – comfortable working on legal documents

  • A confident relationship builder who can seek out and close key consumer partnership deals  

  • Digital product knowledge, excellent industry contacts and strong understanding of media landscape – ideally with experience of driving growth

  • Eligible to work in the UK

  • Must be internationally mobile

  • Fluent written and spoken English
