Marketing's Global Event Team creates in-person, virtual and hybrid event experiences convening audiences across business, government and philanthropy. We aim to connect regional and global teams to create a strategic, data-driven approach that’s unified and delivers on our company wide priorities while still meeting individual business objectives. Annually, we create, plan and execute 2,400+ events across a portfolio of virtual, in-person and hybrid events reaching 239K clients, prospects and employees in over 60 countries. By working across all Bloomberg businesses, commercial and franchise event groups, subsidiaries and the foundation to create community and accountability around events.

We'll trust you to:

In this position, you will be responsible for the development, planning, management and execution of the Financial Products business events across Bloomberg:

  • Develop, plan and execute sales and marketing event programs to support business objectives

  • Collaborate with marketing managers to ensure the successful deployment & integration of events with external partners (government agencies, conference organizers, key associations, etc) and creation of unique event experiences that communicate our key messages

  • Project manages high level complex events (in-person, virtual and hybrid programs) effectively to infuse customized, innovative ideas and solutions for events

  • Lead the creative process, including invitations, in-person & virtual event production, audio visual requirements (including show calling), virtual platforms & components, etc

  • Lead projects with multiple partners (across different geographies and businesses) and teams from inception to delivery

  • Leverage relationships with business stakeholders to go beyond execution excellence, connecting the products, audiences, and markets to event formats and programs. Identify cross-business event opportunities and help connect the dots across the marketing teams

  • Prepare and align event budgets, negotiate with vendors, ensure payments & reconciliations take place in a timely manner

You'll need to have:

  • Minimum 7 years of event/experiential planning

  • The ability to multi-task & work flexibly under tight deadlines

  • Use event data, metrics and qualitative feedback effectively to guide and influence decision-making

  • Experience integrating events into marketing campaigns: Understands the role that events play within the integrated marketing communications framework and works to ensure that the right type of events are being planned at the right time

  • Ability to work successfully and efficiently with minimal supervision, feel comfortable taking risks and takes direction appropriately

  • Strong interpersonal skills and very effective working in a team environment
