Stanley Black and Decker CNC Operator I in L'Olmo, Italy
The CNC operator takes care of inserting the instructions into the machine, according to the technical sheets that is provided, loading the material and taking care of the initial setting of the tools, inserting the zero point and the reference point. He then starts the processing, supervises the process and intervenes in case changes, improvements or relocations of the material are needed. Once the machine has finished its operations, the CNC worker removes the part from the machining area, refines it and eliminates the machining waste. He makes sure that the component has dimensions that fall within the tolerance limits indicated in the project, performs a quality control on the piece and delivers it for the next processing phase. Report any malfunctions and manufacturing defects to the production manager. The CNC employee then makes sure that the computerized numerical control machines work at full capacity and that the finished product complies with the established quality standards. It can also perform simple maintenance operations on machinery, such as lubricating mechanical components or replacing worn tools.
Responsibilities:
Load the program into the numerical control machine;
Prepare the initial settings of the machine tool (parameters, placement and zeroing);
Load the processing material;
Supervise the work carried out by the machinery;
Intervene in case of malfunctions, breakdowns, incorrect processing;
Refine the processed product and perform a quality control;
Keep CNC machinery operational with minor maintenance.
Requirements:
Mechanical and technical skills;
Knowledge of the operation of CNC machines;
Ability to set up computerized numerical control machine tools;
Competence in reading technical drawings and diagrams;
Knowledge of the main measuring instruments;
Methodicality and attention to detail;
Teamwork aptitude;
Problem solving propensity;
Analytical skills.
