Overview The Technical Experimental Aquatics Lab (T.E.A.L.) at Utah State University is looking for a full-time (30-40 hrs/week) research and aquaculture technician. The position will last for a period of six months. We currently have three projects underway in our lab that are related to YY production of Red Shiner, Channel Catfish, and Common Carp for invasive species management. Typical duties performed will include but are not limited to feeding fish/maintaining feed schedules, cleaning tanks/automatic feeders, recording water quality and biometric data, maintaining inventory, and data entry. There will also be opportunities to assist with other components of the projects, including genetics research and wet lab work. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can perform job tasks with minimal supervision. A desire to work in aquaculture or the natural resources field is preferred. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Must be able to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail * Must be able to work a minimum of 30-40 hours/week. * Ability to work with minimal supervision * Valid driver's license to perform essential job responsibilities * Must have access to reliable transportation to and from Millville Preferred Qualifications: * Aquaculture experience * Ability to use hand and power tools * Mechanical aptitude
