Rastelli’s is looking to hire a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to join our growing team in Swedesboro, New Jersey.

Job Description:

The Logistics Manager position is key in maintaining operational excellence. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail in order to oversee daily operations and logistics employees, have excellent organization skills and possess in-depth knowledge of logistics and inventory systems. This individual should be comfortable in communication with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all inbound and outbound freight operations.

  • Manage small team of operators – order picks, drops, staging and loading.

  • Verify quantity and quality of inbound and outbound shipments.

  • Manage daily reports.

  • Manage fleet operations (pickups and delivery scheduling, intercompany transfers, maintenance, etc.)

  • Work closely with production and distribution to verify shipment status - check and make sure product will be available to ship on the specified date and time.

  • Adapt to changes in production schedules, changes in truck schedules, missed appointments, etc.

  • Prepare and review shipping documents (in conjunction with Shipping Clerk)

  • Periodically review processes and procedures

Qualifications:

  • College degree or 5-7 years of experience in warehouse operations, supply chain distribution or logistics

  • Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations

  • Forklift certification a plus but not required.

  • Experience in cold chain/food transportation a plus but not required.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to and manage change.

  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

  • Strong attention to detail

This position is Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
