Veroni USA Facilities Manager in Logan Township, New Jersey

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Negotiate and purchase equipment; Refurbish and procure spare parts; Plan, coordinate, and execute all installation for production and packaging machinery, labelers and printers, metal detectors, telecommunications, computers, and heating and cooling systems; Ensure the efficiency and functionality of the production lines and equipment; Manage upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet local and federal regulatory health and safety standards; Inspect buildings’ structures to determine need for repairs and renovations; Coordinate and oversee needed building repairs and renovations; Optimize use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs; Review utilities consumption and striving to maximize efficiency and minimize costs; Supervise all facilities staff and external contractors; Supervise all monitoring systems, including cameras, security alarm, and temperature recorders; Control maintenance, cleaning, waster disposal, and building security activities; Allocate production space according to facility needs and limitations; Handle service contracts; Maintain financial and non-financial records; and Perform deep dive analyses of non-conformances and forecasting.REQUIREMENTS:Position requires a High School diploma or foreign equivalent plus six years of experience in the Italian fine cured meat industry, two of which are in a managerial position in the same industry, with four years of experience Refurbishing and procuring spare parts; Planning, coordinating, and executing all installation for production and packaging machinery, labelers and printers, metal detectors, telecommunications, computers, and heating and cooling systems; Ensuring the efficiency and functionality of. the production lines and equipment; Managing upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet local and federal regulatory health and safety standards; Inspecting buildings’ structures to determine need for repairs and renovations; Coordinating and overseeing needed building repairs and renovations; Optimizing use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs; Supervising all facilities staff and external contractors; Supervising all monitoring systems, including cameras, security alarm, and temperature recorders; Controlling maintenance, cleaning, waster disposal, and building security activities; Allocating production space according to facility needs and limitations; Handling service contracts; and Using the following equipment: Weber; Multivac; Travaglini; and Ulma.
