Piper Aviation Museum Foundation Museum Operations Assistant in LOCK HAVEN, Pennsylvania
Hours: Part-time (up to 30 hours per week)
Description: The Piper Aviation Museum, Lock Haven, PA, is seeking an outgoing and organized individual to join our team as a Museum Operations Assistant. This position plays a key role in ensuring an exceptional experience for our visitors while supporting the daily operations of the museum. The role offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse group of both domestic and international visitors.
Key Responsibilities: Open and close the museum during business hours. Greet visitors and process admissions at the front desk. Assist with gift shop sales and inventory tracking. Process memberships, donations, and other financial transactions. Assist with organizing and maintaining exhibits, archives, and museum-related projects as needed.
Qualifications: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks. Organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Professional demeanor with a commitment to providing a positive experience for all visitors. Enthusiastic and passionate about representing the museum, Piper Aircraft, and the community with integrity. Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar software is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
Compensation: Compensation is negotiable and will be based on experience.
