Overview The Equipment Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and operating various types of heavy equipment within our organization. This position requires a blend of mechanical knowledge and the ability to supervise operations effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in farm settings ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally to support daily operations. Duties Operate and maintain heavy equipment used in farm operations, ensuring safety and efficiency. Perform routine inspections and repairs on machinery to prevent breakdowns. Supervise the operation of equipment by team members, providing guidance and support as needed. Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to equipment maintenance. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of farm activities. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment usage. Requirements Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties. Basic math skills for operational tasks are essential. Strong supervisory skills to lead a team effectively in various tasks related to equipment use. A commitment to safety protocols and procedures while working with machinery.
