Mechanical Engineer for Livonia, MI:

Will take care of data acquisition for benchmarking of Full Size and Mid-size pickup trucks, Mid-size and Compact cross-over SUVs, Electric Vehicles. Coordinate globally based cross-functional team and finalize the deliverable on customer requirements. Record all the inputs, provide the priorities and update the execution plan. Provide technical guidance on project execution and establish cycle times through work measurement. Ensure complete and consistent inputs and deliverables for schedule adherence process planning application. Support data acquisition during teardown, optical scanning, specimen cutting, storage, and parts display. Implementing new ideas to improve productivity. Participate in Value Analysis/Value Engineering sessions to generate cost-saving ideas based on but not limited to cost, mass, and manufacturing processes. Plan and deliver the inputs for benchmarking automotive vehicles to the global teams to develop the CAD/CAE model from Digital Twin Data. Validate the Digital Twin Data for the teardown team. Engineering validation of CAD model using CAD software such as Creo, CATIA, and GOM. Involved in discussions with the client to get more information on their requirements. Practice Continuous Improvement strategies to eliminate waste and increase the efficiency of operations. Prepare and present weekly project status to customers. Develop a design change report & submit it to the client every month. Ensure accurate, complete, and consistent inputs and deliverables for schedule adherence Process Planning application. Develop and maintain technical documentation and Project reports.

Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with two years' experience required, foreign equivalent accepted, 40hrs a week.
