Robert Half Benefits Administrator in LIVONIA, Michigan


Benefits Administrators should apply for this exciting role with one of our clients. The benefits administrator will manage and curate the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs. The benefits administrator will routinely research alternative benefits programs, implement enhancements to current programs, and oversee all general tasks associated with benefits administration. Major responsibilities

  • Manage all interactions and negotiations with all our service providers

  • Advise employees of their benefit options

  • Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with the accounting department

  • Help create benefit appropriate programs such as insurance, wellness etc.

  • Direct enrollments and determine employee eligibility

  • Take steps to ensure that organization complies with applicable government regulations

  • Administer leaves of absence and process claims or requests (medical operations, worker's compensation etc.)

  • Design administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes

  • Review transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration

  • Oversee daily benefits processing

  • Develop deep knowledge of employee benefits plans and vendors

Requirements - 3+ years of related benefits or employee benefits administration experience

  • Hands-on experience with data analysis

  • Excellent communication and organization skills

  • Comfortable navigating the world of benefits contract language

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources or similar relevant field

  • Competent in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
