JOB PROFILE SUMMARY
This position will provide administrative support to the Human Resources and the Facilities Teams. HR Clerk will assist HR Manager with all employee relations activities pertaining to recruitment and employment.
• Respond and assist employees with questions/problems regarding payroll, benefits, and other related HR issues
• Enter and maintain all employee life cycle changes through the HRIS system including, but not limited to new hires, compensation changes, leaves of absences, structural organization changes, and terminations
• Arrange interview schedules, information packets, drug screens, employment tests, background checks and physicals for prospective employees; prepare employee files, orientation packet for new employees, and other related administrative tasks for new hires
• Assist with new hire orientation/onboarding
• Coordinate leave claims
• Liaison with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits, etc.)
• Develop knowledge of Parker policies and procedures to effectively communicate guidelines when responding to daily employee inquiries
• Time and attendance evaluation and adjustments
• Generate, distribute, and analyze various reports for the HR team including government related reports, audit reports for attendance, I-9 audits, ITAR audits, etc.
• Assist with HR compliance projects such as personnel file audits and driver safety audits
• Maintain up-to-date maintenance of personnel documentation and files
• Coordinate and plan for employee recognition events and other company employee functions
• Maintain bulletin boards and screen cloud
• Work well with people while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality in all aspects of the position
• Look for opportunities to identify improvements to processes and makes these known to the HR managers
• Escalates issues of a questionable nature for further discussion to ensure company-wide practices remain consistent
• Assist in providing HR support to other facilities as needed
• Reconcile invoices for payment
Competencies Required
Required
Knowledge of human resources, employment laws and HR processes within a fast paced environment.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with a focus on Excel and Power Point
Good communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
Handle multiple tasks with high tolerance for interruptions and changing priorities
Ability to handle data with confidentiality
Ability to read, understand, and follow written and/or verbal procedures, processes, and instructions
Ability to work independent of direct supervision
Ability to work effectively in a team environment with management and coworkers
Ability to complete the job without direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of self or others
Demonstrated effort toward self-improvement by gaining new knowledge/skills and accepting new assignments
Ability to read and write in English
WORK EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
PREFERRED
• Prior Human Resource Experience
• 2 years of administrative experience within a fast-paced work environment.
• Prior Experience with PeopleSoft System
• Six months to one (1) year of related experience
EDUCATION
REQUIRED
• High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED
• Associated Degree in Business Administration or related area
