Job Overview:

Qualifications:

Required:

  • BSN

  • Minimum of 3-5 year s acute nursing experience

  • One year of Nursing Supervisor department experience.

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing

  • Successful completion of all Orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center

Preferred:

  • MSN

  • I.V. certification from an approved facility or completion of those requirements preferred

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • NRP certification required or completion of its requirements within 90 days of hire

  • Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement

  • BLS from the American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift

  • Monday Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation

  • Full Time

Essential Functions:

Organize and administer individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives along with the mission and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the N.J. State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation and activities.

Other Duties:

The Clinical Director is responsible for assisting the Patient Care Service Executive Council in defining, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the philosophy and objectives for their designated area to ensure the optimal delivery of care and services to all patients in an environment that promotes professional development and continues to assure financial viability. The primary goal is the delivery of competent, efficient and cost-effective care.
