Sales Support Representative
in This position exists to maximize the sales opportunities of their Outside Salesperson. The SSR position is the link between the customer/Sales Rep and internal operations for the functional aspects of the entire sales process. This position is the direct arm of the Outside Rep, and exists to allow the Outside Rep more time to develop existing or new customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for assisting the Outside Salesperson in all functional areas of order administration quoting, ticketing, initiating orders, researching special order pricing, scheduling deliveries, follow-up on information, and communicating customer/Sales Rep needs to operational personnel Responsible for communicating with customers by email, phone or in person to assist in satisfying their project needs Learn total relationship with all customers assigned to team in order to effectively back up Outside Sales Rep and help customers with questions or jobsite needs directly Be prepared to visit jobsites and service customer in times when Outside Rep is unavailable Responsible for processing and coordinating returns of material from customers, making sure credits are processed and any necessary follow-up with customer is achieved Learn, utilize and adhere to Kimals operational policies and procedures in order to process orders and serve customers Be present at all required product training meetings or required company meetings where Sales Team is expected Have a good knowledge of products that Kimal sells (lumber, doors, mouldings, trusses, etc.), and be able to effectively and professionally coordinate the sales function. Any other tasks as assigned by management Skills Needed: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months of building materials experience. Ability to read and write in English. Be very organized and detailed to handle chaotic sales environment effectively and relatively mistake-free. Physical Demands: These physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Regularly required to walk, see, talk and hear. Often required to stand, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit. Regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds. Often required to lift up to 25lbs, and occasionally required to lift up to 50lbs. Regularly required to see clearly with close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be see up and down or the left or right while eyes are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), and the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
