Position Description

Job Summary

What’s the job?

WCM Program Leader will help facilitate the implementation of the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) program at the CBI level by focusing on improvements around people development. This entails supporting the local manufacturing teams with training, coaching, and execution of the WCM program, utilizing knowledge of Saint-Gobain pillars and supporting programs such as cost deployment. The People Development Team Leader serves as the primary local interface to the Saint-Gobain CBI WCM communities and coordinates the collating, tracking, reporting, and presenting of relevant metrics (Key Process Indicators KPI), activities and plans and communicates to appropriate levels of the organization.

  • Identify and drive WCM tools to meet the people development pillar objective across the group.

  • Provide leadership training and tools to facilitate development of department / site skills matrices, cross-business site matrices and competencies analysis to identify and reduced competency gaps.

  • Use business wide lens to identify training needs. Work with cross site team to develop standards and share training content and best practices.Identify and deploy tools to support training content development and delivery across the group. Focus on digital and innovative tools.

  • Work with peers across Business WCM Steering Committee – share and pilot best practices.

  • Identify and deploy reward and recognition programs as appropriate.Business contact and expert for the SWP tool and analysis timing and protocol.

  • Work with HR to ensure completion of SWP annually at budget time and consolidate across the group.

  • Utilize SWP data to identify gaps and drive new training programs as needed.

  • Work with HR partner and external trainer to provide in person training sessions for all new supervisors at least twice per year.

  • Identify and provide online curriculum for supervisors to facilitate continuous learning.

  • Work with plant leaders, WCM team, HR, and Operations Director to identify needs and develop training curriculum for improving plant leadership teams. Identify and utilize external trainer as needed using procurement to secure bid and award business.

Required Qualifications

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management or business administration with a focus on manufacturing or Engineering, such as mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering

  • 5-8 years’ experience in production environment that utilizes WCM or related systems.

  • 5-8 years’ experience with lean manufacturing principles, quality management systems, production processes, and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the People Development Pillar and WCM methodology

  • Six Sigma or Lean experience in a manufacturing environment with technical competency in TPM, DMAIC, DFSS, Lean, Kaizen/Work-out, process management, change management and advanced statistical techniques.

  • Black Belt Certification – preferred
