Monday- Friday 8-5PM

This position will primarily include clinical trial project management through the Innovative Cancer Therapeutics Team at ACH. This program operates early phase clinical trials for pediatric oncology patients through consortia such as POETIC, Beat Childhood Cancer, the Sunshine Project, as well as studies run through industry partners. The role of this position in these trials includes oversight of screening, enrollment, and on study treatment protocols for these patients, as well as adverse event reporting and other data management. You will have the opportunity to attend conferences for consortia 1-2 times per year to become immersed in this community. There will be weekly and monthly calls for some of these consortia to stay up on current news and protocol specific information. The primary physicians who you will work with in this position are Dr. Kevin Bielamowicz and Dr. David Douglass.

Description

  1. Assesses, develops, and revises research protocols as appropriate.

  2. Prepares materials for approval by ACHRI and UAMS IRB.

  3. Conducts screening procedures for study enrollment. Recruits subject for participation and obtains consent/assent for research participation

  4. Works with ACRI Clinical Trials and Post Award office to track account activities and resolve discrepancies.

  5. Collects/records subject data on the case report forms using source documentation.

  6. Develops QA schedule for projects, performs QA activities, and develops improvement plans.

  7. Serves as a resource to subjects, families, and team members regarding the study and subject/family needs.

  8. Collaborates with other caregivers, research team members, and subject/family in planning, implementing, and evaluating research activities.

  9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
