MEMS Experienced Automotive Technician - ASE or Ford Tech in LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas

The Automotive Tech inspects, diagnoses and repairs fleet and customer vehicles.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Correctly estimate vehicle repair labor times

· Document services and tasks performed with detail and clarity

· Perform tasks efficiently and effectively while adhering to MEMS’ policies and department guidelines

· Identify and request necessary parts required to complete all repair orders

· Maintain clean and organized work area

· Maintain cleanliness of vehicles

 

QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

· General working knowledge of all automobiles

· ASE Certified

· Ford Certified preferred

· Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

· Positive attitude

· Strong teamwork skills

· Ability to access the internet and vehicle programming software

· Effective communication skills

· Ability to learn quickly

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities

· Eagerness and ability to learn new technology, repair techniques, and service procedures/specifications

· Must have personal tools

· Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen

· Must pass criminal background check

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Ability to bend, crouch and crawl to perform job duties

Exposure to loud noises, physical vibrations and heat for extended periods of time

Ability to perform various physical and labor-intensive tasks

Position is full-time with 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday. Weekends require being on call on a rotating schedule.

Position is subject to mandatory overtime during disaster response times
