Summary:

In congruence with the NASW Code of Ethics, directs all aspects of the Social Work, Family Services, and Interpreter Service Programs; coordinates staff resources in delivery of services. Oversees budgetary issues; responsible for ongoing staff development, QI activities, and program development for all three departments.

Description

  1. Provides long term direction as well as day-to day oversight of all three departments coordinating staff resources, resolving issues and working with Managers and supervisors on the development of staff.

  2. Develops and implements strategies and policies for social work, interpreter services and family services.

  3. Prepares, justifies and administers departmental and program budgets. Manages and maximizes utilization of resources.

  4. Full authority for personnel actions including hiring, performance evaluations, performance improvement, team building, delegating, scheduling, etc.

  5. Actively participates with local, state, national and professional organizations focused on improving patient and family outcomes as well as professional development.

  6. Leverages internal and external relationships to improve or promote patient outcomes and professional standards.

  7. Provides clinical supervision and guidance to the clinical social workers

  8. Has demonstrated clinical expertise and skill prior to assuming leadership role.
