This position provides clerical support for the Facilities Management Office, Department of Military Affairs, State of MN
Minimum Qualifications
- Basic math skills
-Typing/keyboarding skills sufficient to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook or equivalent software, sufficient to produce memos and correspondence in an efficient and timely manner.
Data entry skills sufficient to input and verify data from source documents into a database with a high level of accuracy and speed, maintain accurate records and reports, and locate and correct data entry errors.
English (speaking, writing, reading) sufficient to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and to compose and edit a variety of documents using proper business English, spelling and grammar.
Customer Service Skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through email and other written correspondence to answer questions and advise customers of program policies, procedures, and regulations, etc.
Word processing skills sufficient to use software applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel, to type documents, format material property, and use correct spelling/grammar.
Database Management skills sufficient to query and interpret data and prepare reports.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Must possess a valid Minnesota Drivers License.
Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to plan and organize workload efficiently.
Database management (ability to learn to access/query, enter, edit, format and report information in multiple databases)
Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations.
