POSITION SUMMARY:

The End-to-End Maintenance Manager is responsible for the execution of the maintenance strategy and the achievement of the production plan on the production lines. This is accomplished through leadership and collaboration with the entire maintenance team and its resources. The role will require driving continuous improvement by being brilliant at the Nestle maintenance foundations, principles, and all the key systems to create a high performing site. The qualified candidate will require the ability to model the way for others by practicing what is preached to create and maintain a workplace culture that engages and motivates associates at all levels.  Lead Strategic Planning” to deliver results and support /drive digital transformation related to equipment analytics to improve equipment performance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with maintenance technicians, maintenance supervisors, production supervisors, and all support roles to provide overall coordination of maintenance activities and resources to drive the daily achievement of planned maintenance.

  • activities and efficient/effective response to unplanned stoppage events on production lines.

  • Understand the key losses on the production lines, the maintenance systems’ health, the capabilities of the maintenance technicians and salary resources alike to prioritize maintenance support needs and improvements.

  • In coordination with the Maintenance Managers and Sr. Operations Manager, develop the vision needed to lead and oversee the maintenance support to operational equipment.

  • Coordinate the shift’s activities for the Maintenance Department to maintain equipment at the highest practical level through continuous improvement of the maintenance systems, as well as leadership within the facility’s continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Work with team members to develop the most cost-effective repair strategies and manage maintenance spending responsibilities to achieve overall factory maintenance budget.

  • Monitor key performance indicators and line/equipment trends to ensure the best operation and overall reduction of planned/unplanned downtime in coordination with the NHS Reliability Engineer.

  • Provide timely feedback and coaching to individuals and team to develop them to their full potential and to achieve objectives in accordance with NCE guidelines.

  • Promote and enhance a positive labor management relationship including efforts to continuously improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement.

  • Lead a continuous improvement/employee involvement culture through NCE approach.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Maintenance & Reliability, Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Chemical or equivalent) preferred or equivalent work experience and relevant years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Standard shift is M-F with expected hours to provide coverage to all 4 shifts as required.

  • Ability to work extended days and/or weekends with flexibility to switch shifts as needed to support team and key initiatives.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Five (5) years of experience in a maintenance field, ideally supporting high speed food manufacturing in a supervisory role direct experience with Maintenance Planning and Reliability Engineering is a plus.

  • Proven success at leading maintenance improvement projects and people development.

  • Exposure to implementing continuous improvement, employee involvement techniques and change management. Implementation experience of TPM preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Able to organize, coordinate, and direct users and teams.

  • Strong interpersonal and communications abilities.

  • High energy level, ability to maintain a positive attitude and to motivate others.

  • Solid analytical and technical skills, including problem-solving.

  • Recognized skills in Engineering and Maintenance.

  • Knowledge, understanding, and passion for continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge and understanding of the cost drivers of Maintenance in manufacturing operations.

  • Good working knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP) with the ability to mine and analyze data for trends/reports.

  • The ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
