Volt LAB Technician III in Little Canada, Minnesota

Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Tech III in Maplewood, MN with a well-known industry leader. In this role you will be responsible for chemical, mechanical and optical testing of optically clear adhesives for the global Optically Clear Adhesives Laboratory. This individual will engage with application engineers and product developers on adhesive test requests, and collate, analyze and summarize data collected on testing. This is a first shift position. As a Lab Tech III you will:

  • Learn hands on testing with adhesives including mechanical, bulk and optical characterization
  • Do Data entry and analysis, including Excel and other software packages
  • Manage product testing projects as assigned, including schedule and data management
  • Be a Self-starter and able to manage task assignments
  • Clear communication skills

Preferred Qualifications: • Statistics/data analysis background • Self-sufficient, self-starter independent worker • Detailed oriented, organized • Excellent communications skills (oral, written and presentation) • Microsoft Office proficient Estimated Duration 2 years The ideal candidate will have:

  • BS Degree Preferred in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • One year or more working in a laboratory testing environment
