Mac Papers Director Sales Packaging - 1991 in Lithia Springs, Georgia

The Director Sales Packaging is responsible for the managing and performance of the packaging segment, its growth and sales personnel as well as serving as a resource and liaison with Marketing and Operations teams, to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, and economic goals. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)

Essential Position Functions: Manage, develop, and drive profitable sales growth and margins supporting company's strategies and initiatives. Develop sale team to grow market share in packaging and new account acquisition. Develop and maintain productive relationships with customers, branch personnel and headquarters personnel. Build and develop strategic relationships with packaging suppliers. Review, manage and analyze sales personnel performance results and take corrective and/or training and development actions as needed. Lead sales team to achieve targets utilizing CRM / sales development. Implement and drive packaging initiatives as set by Corporate. Actively recruit, attract, and obtain packaging account managers to solidify growth. Manage segment's account receivables working with credit department. Provide leadership, building a team environment to accomplish company goals. Other related duties as required. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED required. College degree or relevant packaging management experience. Minimum 3 years sales management / leadership role in packaging or similar industry. Minimum 5 years of sales experience in packaging distribution or similar industry. Thorough knowledge of packaging suppliers and products. Experience in managing budgets and expenses. Proven track record of growing a successful packaging business. Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills. Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer. Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner. Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills. Must be able to work alone, and with a team. Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations. Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Physical Demands Regularly required to walk and stand continuously for long periods of time. Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone. Reach with hands and arms. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must have a valid driver license and be able to drive repeated throughout the workday including stopping and entering/exiting various customer establishments. Lift up to 25 lbs. Mental Demands Regularly required to use written and oral communication skills. Will interact regularly with managers and staff. Must be able to work independently with little supervision. Work Environment Employees work under typical office conditions, but due to travel/driving responsibilities will be exposed to weather and typical driving conditions.
