Responsibilities

As an SAP Platform Architect, you will play a pivotal role in connecting business requirements with technical capabilities by leveraging SAP solutions and best practices. Your expertise lies in translating the company's digital objectives and heightened business process goals into practical, SAP-driven solutions. You'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation for Navistar.

Key activities:

• Plan scalable, robust, and secure SAP solutions in accordance with best practices.

• Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed solutions.

• Collaborate and partner with business process architects to provide process improvement recommendations for adherence to OOTB templates and solutions.

• Define and develop architecture blueprints, strategies, principles, and standards for OOTB, Code-less, Code-full and custom development and deployment (on-premises, cloud, hybrid) for platform governance with SAP S/4 HANA.

• Develop global standards for installations, parameters, configurations, etc. and service strategy and the service roadmap for SAP HANA databases.

• Convert business needs into technical specifications and configure SAP modules.

• Collaborate with all value stream teams to implement and deploy the end-to-end Global ERP solution leveraging Navistar Agile at Scale Methodology.

• Implement newly improved FICO and cross-functional business processes based on business requirements.

• Strong SAP configuration/set up knowledge and business processes in Controlling and Finance areas including, Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profitability Analysis (PA / COPA), Product Costing (PC) including Standard Costing, Material Ledger, Overhead Costing and Profit Center Accounting (PCA).

• Strong knowledge in SAP BASIS disciplines including SAP NetWeaver, S/4 HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP tools such as Fiori, SDI and BODS.

• Experience in supporting SAP FI module components such as GL, AR, AP, Special Purpose Ledger, Open Text, Bank reconciliation, FSCM, Fixed Assets.

• Proficiency in defining Roles and Responsibilities with a focus on roles security techniques using SAP S/4 HANA, workflows and customizations.

• Experience with designing custom solutions and interfaces between SAP & Non-SAP systems to provide design patterns and alternatives for functional specifications.

• Experience on integration to SAP and related products, such as SuccessFactors and Concur is a plus.

• Experience in defining strategies and platform framework for monitoring of SAP systems such as work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space for availability, performance, track and report indicators focused on current and future growth.

• Proficiency in SAP Basis administration, including system installation, upgrades, patching, and system copy, with a focus on SAP S/4 HANA.

• Strong understanding of server infrastructure, storage systems, network design, virtualization, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to provide direction for infrastructure teams for SAP S/4 HANA.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree

• At least 15 years of Information Technology and / or IT architecture experience

• At least 2 years of lead experience

OR

• Master’s degree

• At least 12 years of Information Technology and / or IT architecture experience

• At least 2 years of lead experience

OR

• At least 17 years of Information Technology and / or IT architecture experience

• At least 2 years of lead experience

Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

• At least 7 – 10 years of Solution Architecture and SAP related experience

• Comprehensive understanding of SAP modules, functionalities with business transformation experience

• Proven track record of entire implementation lifecycle in SAP

• Proficiency in enterprise architecture and integration principles

• Robust grasp of data management and commitment to security best practices

• Outstanding analytical, communication and problem-solving skills

• Capability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams
