International Finance Manager in Lisle, Illinois

Position Overview

International Motors has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager supporting our Engineering and Research & Development (R&D) functions.

This role will report to the Associate Director of Finance and manage a team responsible for business case development/modeling, financial analysis, and reporting for International’s engineering programs.

In addition to finance experience and business acumen, this role demands exceptional communication skills and a high level of cross-functional interaction to ensure International product launches and updates are a success.

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in the office at our corporate headquarters in Lisle, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Manage analysts assigned to product development programs supporting numerous vehicle and powertrain platforms

  • Ensure seamless collaboration across finance teams and operational partners to assess the financial implications of program actions and support decision-making

  • Coordinate cross-functionally with various Traton and International departments, including Engineering, Sales, Program Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality

  • Review and guide business case development and modeling to ensure accuracy of financial metrics and that total program investment is appropriately captured

  • Review and report monthly data, monitoring and tracking program status and work hand-in-hand with program teams to resolve issues

  • Effectively communicate and formally present the financial status of product programs to International and Traton senior leadership

  • Support financial forecasting, annual budgeting, and longer-term strategic planning processes

  • Actively provide coaching and mentorship to junior team members and support their career development through specific and critical feedback

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree

  • At least 4 years of finance and budgeting experience

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 5 years of finance and budgeting experience

OR

  • At least 8 years of finance and budgeting experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills

  • Strong problem-solving ability; able to employ technical skills in a resourceful and creative manner

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; comfortable with communicating and presenting across all organizational levels, including Senior Leadership

  • Ability to distill complex financial concepts/data/models into simple, concise reports

  • Comfortable with enforcing International Motors process and financial guidelines

  • Flexibility to effectively cope with change and to handle ambiguity

  • Excellent time management skills – can prioritize and manage multiple projects to meet specific deadlines

  • Work effectively in a team environment

  • Work proficiently in Excel, PowerPoint, ThinkCell

  • Power BI experience a plus
