Company Description
Arthur Chew Consulting, LLC is a professional engineering and consulting firm offering a wide array of services, including forensic engineering, bulkhead inspections/design/permitting, vibration monitoring, septic system design, and structural inspections/design. Our founder, Arthur Chew, brings over two decades of experience, certifications, and professionalism to each project. We work with contractors, real estate agents, and clients of all types to provide custom and efficient solutions for their consulting needs.

Role Description
This full-time hybrid role involves initially working full time on-site at our Linwood, NJ location, with the opportunity to evolve into partial or full time remote work as abilities allow. As a Structural Engineer, you will collaborate with our engineering team to design, analyze, and modify primarily residential structures. Additionally, you will oversee the planning and implementation of a range of structural design projects and ensure that all engineering projects meet regulatory standards and government requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is required
  • Relevant work experience in structural engineering and design is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of engineering principles, theories, concepts, and practices as well as relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
  • Experience using software such as AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
