Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.

Are you interested in exploring a career on the cutting edge of next generation circuit design? You'll leverage your current experience and join our team of scientists and engineers in design of integrated circuits for emerging applications in low temperature environments. You’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside a broad array of scientists and engineers to make these design solutions a reality.

The Microelectronics Designs and Applications (MDA) business area of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking motivated and experienced RF MMIC Design engineers to join our team in the design and layout of custom, low-power, RF, analog and mixed signal ASICs. Selected candidates will support Northrop Grumman’s Superconducting ASIC Design and RF Packaging teams. Selected candidates will build upon their previous RF or microwave circuit design experience to perform RF/microwave highly integrated circuit simulation, schematic simulation, electro-magnetic simulation, layout extraction, and device test and characterization in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SME).

Roles and Responsibilities include:

Manage, enhance, and maintain high frequency simulation and Multiphysics software tools such as ANSYS (HFSS/Maxwell3D), ADS (Momentum), COMSOL, etc. Coordinate between different teams and programs to identify problems and provide solutions. Work with SMEs and other team members to develop, document and propagate best practices.

Background experience with HFSS or other 3D EM solvers is desirable. The right candidate will be comfortable in a dynamic environment with rapidly developing technologies and tools. The candidate must be comfortable translating early design concepts into representative models as well as modeling and verification of existing designs. Successful candidates will be required to interpolate test data and use simulation tools to provide deep analytical data to assist problem identification and solution recommendations to multiple teams. This position will require candidates to work with design, fabrication, and test teams to produce novel simulations with minimal guidance and assistance. The most desirable candidates will be invested in continual learning and development of EM technology and capabilities. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
