As a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist ​, located in Linthicum, MD, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.

This position will be hybrid, between in person work in Linthicum, MD and remote work.

The Global Supply Chain Finance position will work in coordination with other Supply Chain Planners to track program material costs, accurately forecast material receipts, and create Current Material Estimates (CME).

In this job, you will be:

  • Responsible for creating a material baseline and working with Business Management to meet monthly Earned Value requirements including monthly performance, ETC spreads, variance explanations, and identifying and implementing corrective actions as necessary

  • Responsible for working with other planners, engineers, and program representatives to forecast material costs

  • Responsible for understanding material cost variances and determining root causes and corrective actions for the variances

This role will support programs in the Remote Sensing Programs (RSP) portfolio in the Space Sector. This position requires a basic understanding of Supply Chain including reading purchase orders, the processes related to buying and receiving material, target pricing, and MRP.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3+ years of professional experience; in lieu of degree, 9 + years of experience may be considered

  • Proficient in Earned Value measurement techniques

  • Advanced Excel skills are required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Material Cost Account Visibility (MCAV)

Salary Range: $87,000 - $130,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
