Primary Role: Conduct lab testing, support CAD design, and documentation maintenance
Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to follow detailed instructions and protocol of internal procedures
Use SolidWorks 3D modeling to support building 3D models of Mechanical and Elecro-Mechanical hardware
For E/E Intern must be able to interpret and follow basic electrical schematic and provide with guidance firmware updates to boards.
Provides all necessary technical support to help develop, specify, and improve existing manufacturing processes with a focus on improving quality and cutting cost
Conduct the required time studies to evaluate our manufacturing processes and make recommendations for changes to our BOM’s to control cost and for process improvements
Sets up and conducts tests of various equipment and products being evaluated by engineering. Investigate potential design changes for improving equipment or products to enhance performance and quality
Review processes for any and all safety concerns or risk to any employees. Make recommendations to correct the deficiencies
Provides the necessary CAD drafting support to develop and maintain all engineering drawings under Engineering control
Completes the necessary documentation to enter and maintain bill of materials. This will include developing new part number request, BOM updates, specification sheets and required drawings
Keeps complete and accurate records of all projects
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
2D/3D Cad experience
Familiarity with design techniques and understanding visual elements
Proficient with MS Office -Excel, PowerPoint, Word
A keen eye for detail
Time management and multitasking abilities
Creative skills and problem solving aptitude
Prolonged sitting, repetitive computer use
Strong attention to detail, positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
