Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center is located

approximately 30 miles from Charlotte. The facility employs just under 400+ full

time associates in a 5-shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft. along

with 12,000 skus. In addition to the conversion, customizing and packaging

activities, abrasives are now a big part of our power tool accessory business.

Job Description

Define, procure and install measuring and testing methods including equipment and systematic for new highly

automated manufacturing lines. Define and support detailed training and qualification of associates. Execute

product testing and measurements, release both products and the equipment. Responsible for quality management

and methods, including e.g., structured problem solving, Control Plan and FMEA, real-time quality checks.

Actively work within the team to achieve targets in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost KPI's

Primary Duties and Accountabilities % Time

Participate in the Release of Products and Processes: Support the release of raw materials, equipment, gauges, final products, and eventual improvements and cost reductions and TTM projects after SOP 20 %

Quality Lab Setup: Support the set-up of a Quality Lab for processes installed as required by the lead plant. Support the analyze and purchase of equipment, develop documentation, train inspectors, and support daily operation of the Quality Lab. Ensure calibration system. Conduct risk analysis and assessments. 20%

Quality Targets & Reporting: Develop plans with the Manufacturing Department to reach Quality Targets. Monitor and report Quality Key Performance Indicators.Training: Complete training to improve required competencies 20 %

Support the value stream on manufacturing, engineering and project management topics and tasks during start-up 20 %

Process and Quality Documentation: Work with Manufacturing Engineers to properly document (e.g.Process FMEA, PSS, 8D, Control Plan, Procedures and Work Instructions) and organize all new processes as required by the lead plant and according to Bosch & ISO 9001 standards. Supportrunning production.Problem Solving Coach, actively train associates and lead problem solving activity. 20 %

Qualifications

Education - Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or similar field. 5+ years of experience
