Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Providence, Rhode Island. In this role, you will be engaged in a variety of tasks including financial reporting, data reconciliation, and dealing with complex system architecture. You will be interacting with systems such as ODC and Oracle, and will be expected to use your analytical and technical skills to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct statistical and financial reporting from various systems including Oracle
• Manage complex system architecture
• Reconcile past data to ensure accuracy
• Utilize Excel for heavy reporting, reconciliations, and remediation activities
• Leverage critical analytical and technical skills to solve ongoing issues
• Write and execute SQL scripts and queries in the database
• Carry out account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
• Maintain the general ledger and make necessary journal entries
• Use Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks
• Take part in the month-end close process.
Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is an essential requirement for this role.
• The candidate must be adept at Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations is necessary.
• The applicant should have a strong understanding of the General Ledger.
• The role requires proficiency in creating and maintaining Journal Entries.
• The candidate must be skilled in using Microsoft Excel.
• The applicant should be experienced in executing Month End Close activities.
• Familiarity with NetSuite software will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Oracle financial software is a must.
• The candidate should have experience working with SAP systems.
