Haleon Industrial Controls Technician - 2nd shift in Lincoln, Nebraska

As an Industrial Controls Technician at Haleon, you’ll be the go-to expert for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and documenting work on our computerized manufacturing control systems and equipment. You’ll play a crucial role in working with our site Engineers in supporting automation projects, including basic PLC and HMI programming, configuring site servers and clients, and managing various industrial communication protocols and data gathering initiatives.

Your daily responsibilities may include:

  • Installing, repairing, maintaining, and modifying factory computerized systems and equipment.

  • Providing direct and immediate support to manufacturing and packaging at the site of automated systems.

  • Supporting automated systems daily, including automated data gathering, databases, electronic batch records, historians, report generation, manufacturing and packaging control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation.

  • Collaborating with our site Engineers in designing and configuring new systems and updating existing systems for automation projects.

  • Supporting production maintenance technicians and facilities technicians in monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting automated systems.

  • Using a high degree of care and skill to prevent injury to personnel or damage to equipment.

  • Ensuring compliance with GMP and SOP policies and procedures, including documenting work performed.

  • Improving PLC programs and HMI screens to enhance machine performance.

  • Please note this role is for 2nd shift, Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Associate degree or equivalent certifications in Electro-Mechanical Technology or Information Technology, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience as an Automation Technician/Maintenance Electrician/Electrician/IT support.

  • Proven experience with mechanical and electrical systems and/or operational technology support.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Experience supporting manufacturing automated systems in a cGMP facility.

  • Knowledge of electrical system installation and troubleshooting.

  • Advanced knowledge of instrumentation, PLCs, HMIs.

  • Experience with FactoryTalk or Ignition HMI Systems.

  • Experience with Siemens or Rockwell Automation Systems.

  • Networking or Cybersecurity certifications.
