Edwards Lifesciences Warehouse Lead in Limerick, Ireland

Lead a team in Warehouse and/or Distribution operation which includes material handling functions for shipping, receiving, and raw materials (including limited chemical handling) in accordance to Edwards' policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide warehouse work activities in daily order fulfillment of material requisitions, receipts, &/or shipments

• Perform data entry transactions and complete required documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures

• Help resolve inventory discrepancies, i.e., investigate transactions and reconcile discrepancies

• Interact with appropriate departments to assure provision of adequate shipping support

• Provide guidance and feedback to lower level staff, including oversight of training activities

• Ensure compliance to procedures that govern the return of Finished Goods to stock

• Participate in periodic Finished Goods and Raw Materials cycle counts, and various audits across warehouse functions

• Monitor warehouse supply inventories and order replenishments as required

• Responsible for filing / record retention according to company policies and procedures

• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records and may enter information into JDE.

• On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8 hour or longer work period

• Other incidental duties: General work area housekeeping

Education and Experience:

H.S. Diploma or equivalent 6 years years experience experience in warehousing, inventory control, and distribution Required

Additional Skills:

• Cross-trained in multiple warehouse functions (departments)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize and manage competing priorities

• Ability to read, interpret and comprehend policies and procedures (English Speaking, preferred)

• Ability to accurately perform complex work requiring problem solving related to material control, order fulfillment, and cycle counting using JDE and other related warehouse systems

• Ability to perform basic math calculations including adding, subtracting, and measuring

• Critical thinking and problem solving skills required

• Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to warehouse operations and clean room medical device manufacturing

• Must be able to work with minimum supervision by following detailed instructions

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.) and warehouse system (JDE, TRAX, etc.)

• Flexibility to work varying shifts and/or overtime, as needed

• Strict attention to detail and accuracy

• Understanding and application of warehouse procedures to ensure optimal operations

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Forklift certification required within applicable area

• Proven critical thinking, creative problem solving, and decision making skills

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coach others, and transfer knowledge

• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
