PERRY proTECH Shop Technician in Lima, Ohio

We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join our team in preparing, customizing, and repairing office technology products. This individual will diagnose problems and troubleshoot equipment while providing timely and positive feedback to all parties involved.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Complete preparation, customization, and repair of office technology products on all Imaging equipment at a level consistent with performance expectations
  • Inspect equipment and run tests to ensure equipment is working properly
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment, referring to repair manuals and collaborating with other members of the team as needed
  • Make sound judgements and recommendations in order to keep pace in a fast-moving work environment
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Communicate with the Technical Training Coordinator in order to update status on assigned tasks
  • Recognize and escalate issues when additional assistance is required
  • Assist other teams as necessary so that we may meet and exceed all expectations
  • Provide after-hours service when needed to maintain quality, reliability, and uptime for clients
  • Communicate and interact with internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Remain current on assigned training, manufacturer updates, and product knowledge in order to support all aspects of the office products we provide
  • Maintain tool kit, supplies and work area in a manner needed to complete tasks

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

A Shop Technician works in the shop and is required to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods of time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or GED
  • Experience troubleshooting electronics equipment
  • Pass IDOT/ODOT Physical
  • Clean driving record
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
