Challenge Electric Controller (Financial & Accounting) in Lima, Ohio
Lima, Ohio electrical contractor seeking a go-to person for our accounting operations business. Finances, payroll processing, payroll tax filing, bookkeeping tasks, and back-office operations. Successful candidates will need job costing and ERP software knowledge. We run SAGE 300 with well-developed internal processes, procedures, and controls. Monthly GAAP F/S are prepared along with a year end Review. The position reports to the CEO and has two direct reports.
This is a replacement hire for an employee who held the position for 20 years -- training will be available during transition. We are looking for someone who can build on our legacy and grow with the company.
Preferred experience would include a range of business processes typical of a 50+ employee company: employee benefits, 401K, health insurance, HR, risk management compliance,
regulatory and audit requirements, ISNet, IT troubleshooting, cross functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in all accounting functions; from GL posting to month end close and financial statement preparation.
- Job Costing ERP/Accounting software
- Payroll processing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Developed policies, procedures, and SOPs
- Works well in a collaborative team environment and independently, very self-directed
- Associate degree or higher in accounting
- Prior experience directing the workload of direct reports preferred.
