Integrits Corporation Configuration Management Specialist - Sr. in Lihue, Hawaii
Summary Individual provides a full range of Configuration Management (CM) services for the design and development of complex computer programs and applications associated with Pacific Missile Range Facility’s (PMRF) instrumentation and infrastructure systems. These services require an active SECRET security clearance, ability to travel on occasions for meetings and site visits at PMRF and will include participating in various meetings and telcons with PMRF and other U.S. DoD government agencies and contractors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develops and maintains CM documentation which describes the policies, and basic processes and procedures for executing DoD/DoN based configuration management policies and procedures. Utilizes tools to document and maintain proper accountability of a system’s configuration, to include software and hardware End-of-Life (EoL) data. Conducts audits of systems on a periodic and random basis to verify and validate the system’s configuration is correct and fully documented in accordance with prescribed configuration management processes and procedures. Participates in Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings to ensure prescribed configuration management processes and procedures are fully adhered to for the system being discussed/reviewed, and that all proposed changes are properly vetted in accordance with proper configuration management processes. Collaborates with Government customers, system owners, technical team members, and/or users of various hardware and/or software systems to define and/or identify configuration items (CI), system baselines, version description documentations, equipment listings, manuals, and other equipment/software documentation required to fully document the system’s configuration. Participates in various levels of meetings, working groups, technical interchanges, telcons, etc., associated with the life cycle maintenance and configuration management of hardware systems and software computer programs and/or applications. Generates programmatic material as required, e.g., meeting announcements, agendas, meeting minutes, action items, schedules, presentations, memorandums, etc. using Microsoft (MS) Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and/or Outlook e-mail. Evaluates existing and new software products, tools, systems, etc., to identify evolving technologies that may be applicable to improve and/or enhance current or future configuration management activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (2 years of configuration management experience can be substituted for 1 year one year of college) 4-6 years of comprehensive working knowledge of configuration management principles, processes, and procedures for hardware and software systems. 4-6 years of basic knowledge of DoD/DoN configuration management policies, processes and procedures. Uses established configuration management policies and procedures and subject matter knowledge to complete complex assignments requiring originality and ingenuity performed under minimum supervision with considerable latitude for independent contribution. Exercises discretion and independent judgement in representing and/or resolving matters of significance on behalf of the customer. Individual must have excellent English communication skills both verbally and written. Individual needs an excellent knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), and Adobe Acrobat. Individual must be able to successfully pass the required drug screening. SECRET Security Clearance is required. Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (in a technical field of study) 7-10 years of comprehensive working knowledge of configuration management principles, process, and procedures for hardware and software systems. 7-10 years of basic knowledge of DoD/DoN configuration management policies, processes and procedures. 3-5 years of configuration management experience working at a PMRF. Experience with PMRF Instruction 4130.4, PMRF Configuration Management Plan (CMP) Experience with MIL-HDBK-61A (SE), Military Handbook for Configuration Management Guidance Experience with EIA-649-B, Configuration Management Standard Experience with PMRF Instruction 4355.2B, Acceptance and Assignment of New and Improved Range Resource Elements Integrits Corporation complies with provisions of the EEO and ADA laws.
