Our location in Liberty, SC currently has an opportunity for a Engineer I Process - Controls.
We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Engineer I Process – Controls to support High Voltage Capacitor manufacturing. This engineering position will work with cross functional teams to improve manufacturing process equipment, support production, and service activities to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity, cost, and product quality.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Impact this role will have on Abbott:
Production support and process validation.
Troubleshoot manufacturing process and equipment.
Evaluation of production equipment.
Work with cross functional teams as required.
Identify, plan, and execute improvement activities, including but not limited to:
Operator Interface (HMI).
PLC code.
Machine vision.
Data collection.
Maintain/update equipment schematics.
Protocol and report writing.
Understand Lean manufacturing concepts like Value Stream mapping, 5S and Visual Workplace to improve quality, labor efficiency, and throughput.
Generate and modify manufacturing process documentation.
Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
BS degree in Engineering
0-3 years engineering experience.
Familiarity with a multi-meter.
Familiarity with PLCs, preferably Rockwell products.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 products.

The base pay for this position is $48,000.00 – $96,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
